LDCE : Inspector Posts for the year 2015-16

LDCE for promotion to the cadre of Inspector Posts (66.66%) departmental quota for the year 2015-16 was held on 22 and 23-10-2016 for 189 vacancies (OC-155, SC-26 and ST-8).  

It is learnt that department is likely to publish keys of the above said examination papers within a couple of days on India Post web site.

Postponement of Postman and Mail Guard Exam

The Postman DR Examination in respect of Andhra Pradesh Circle scheduled to be held on 24.12.2016 is postponed to 29.01.2017.

Directorate directed circles not to issue admit cards for PS Gr. B examination but preparatory work continue

Subject: PS Group B Exam to be held on 04.12.2016

Respected Sir/Madam,

This is regarding conduct of the P.S. Group B Examination scheduled to be held on 04.12.2016

2. It is informed that CAT Ernakulam Bench has issued following directions dated 24.11.2016 in OA No. 180/953/2016 filed by Sh. Ajith Kurian, ASP, CO Kerala and others:-

“The respondent is directed to hold the examination separately for each vacancy year with a gap of minimum 40 days advance notice as per Appendix 37 of Postal manual Volume IV so that the applicants can avail the year-wise chance of appearing in the Examination. The respondents can notify the dates of five Examinations, if necessary, in advance, so that the applicants appearing in each year would get prior information of the dates”

3. In this connection, 12 Circles were provided with the details of the eligible candidates for issue of admit cards so far. It is requested that admit cards may not be issued to the candidates till further instructions from this office as the order of the CAT is being examined by this office. Meanwhile the preparatory work may be continued.

4. This issues with the orders of competent authority.

CAT vide order dated 23.11.2016 has given interim order to conduct exams separately vacancy year wise.

Filing of CAT case at Ernakulam and Chennai against PSS Group B exam to be held on 04.12.2016

Two C.A.T. cases are filed against the proposed PSS Group B Exam to be held on 04.12.2016 at CAT, Ernakulam Bench (Cause list shown at left)and CAT, Chennai Bench.  Next hearing on 23.11.2016 at Ernakulam bench and the case filed at Madras Bench is said to be come up for admission on 21/11/2016.

Non acceptance of financial transactions in post offices today

As per Govt of India instructions, all Post Offices including BOs should no do any financial transactions including MPCM/PRS  reservation and SB etc on 9th Nov 2016(TODAY); ATM will be closed on 9 th Nov. However delivery of all mails will be done except COD/ VP/ money order   Further instructions follows.

TODAY Post office will not do any money dealing. From 10th you can deposit 500&1000 notes in your account without limit. If you want to exchange 500/1000 notes , you can do so up to RS 4000 only per person that too on production of ID proof
