What to do when electronic data of COD article is not received at Delivery POs ? Clarification

We can check whether booking data of a COD article is available in Parcelnet MIS or using regular tracking from India Post Home Page.

 Follow the given procedure:

1. It was informed there in that the electronic data will be served by the Central Server within 3 hours of the request provided
booking information is available with Server
Other office has not already marked as RTS.
2. It was clearly informed therein that if the Booking information is not available in Server (OR) if the amount available on the article and in the electronic data differs,  the Post Offices have to process those articles manually,  send the Service Money orders and enter the same in disaster recovery module.

3. It was further directed therein that if electronic data is not received by these selected Post offices even after the request, they need to take up the issue with CEPT by raising the tickets, so that CEPT will rectify the issues if any in communication/local database.

4. It is learnt that some offices are not issuing service money orders by mis-interpreting these mails.  It is once again clarified that the Service Money Order is not discontinued.    The intention of these instructions is to ensure processing of COD Parcels through system, wherever electronic data can be served by the server by addressing the communication issues, if any.

5. In order to give more clarity,  the following detailed steps are  to be followed by the delivery Post Offices, in case of  non receipt of electronic data even after giving request for electronic data:

Track the article in India Post Website to see whether

a. Booking information is available for the COD Parcel
b. The article is already marked as RTS by some other office

>If booking information is not available, the article may be processed manually.   The manual disposal details (either Delivered/RTS) should be entered in Disaster Recovery option of the Postman module.
>If booking information is available and if it is not already marked as RTS, check up whether the RNet Communication is working fine or not. This can be done by seeing the Log file available in RNet Communication folder.
>If RNet communication is working fine and if no errors are shown in the Log file, please raise a ticket in HDMS intimating the article number.
>CEPT will examine and provide suitable solution so that you will receive electronic data and can process all such articles through system thereafter.
