1. The above Post Offices must keep all the systems powered on during Working Hours during 16/07/2015 to 17/07/2015.

2. The System Admin of the location should ensure that the Sleep Mode/ Hibernate Mode(in Power Options) should be disabled for all the PC's available in the Locations so that all the systems are available live during the entire working hours during 16/07/2015 to 17/07/2015.

3. The Locations are requested to ensure all the Systems available in the office are properly connected to LAN Network.

Increase in RPLI sum assurance limit

Vide Directorate lr.no. 25-3/2003-LI/Vol II dated 18.05.2015, maximum sum assured in r/o RPLI is increased from Rs. Five Lakhs to Rs.Ten Lakhs. RO will accept proposals above Rs.Five Lakhs.

Update of IT modernisation project of India post

IT modernisation Project is picking up momentum in various fronts. The latest position of implementation is as follows:

• Primary Data Centre has been deployed and started functioning at Navi Mumbai since 3rd April, 2013. Disaster Recovery Centre has started functioning at Mysore on 15-05-15.
• 27373 Departmental Post offices including mail offices and administrative offices have been networked at single Wide Area Network (WAN) and connected to Data Centre.
• Core Banking Solution (CBS) has been rolled out in 2590 Post Offices.
• ATMs have been installed and started functioning in 123 Head Post Offices.
• Core Insurance solution (CIS-PLI) has been rolled out in 13264 Post Offices.
• Rural Hardware vendor has been finalized and contract has been signed. Supply of Rural Hardware devices in Pilot BOs will start in November 2015.
