Increase in PRF amount

The amount of A.P.Posal Relief Fund amount which is paid to the deceased postal employees (Departmental and GDS) is increased from Rs.25,000- to Rs.30,000- w.e.f 01.08.2015 and accordingly subscription amount per month is also increased from Rs.25- to Rs.30- recoverable from the pay of the month of August'2015.  If any GDS or Departmental staff has not yet joined the scheme, the may submit application to DO.

MACP financial upgradations

All the Postal Assistants(including LSG)/Postmen/MTS who have completed 10/20/30 years of service from entry grade have been granted financial upgradation to the next grade pay during the MACP Screening Committee Meeting at Anantapur DO on 17.08.2015.  Memos will be released after approval from RO.

Payment bank license to DOP

RBI today decided to grant "in-principle" approval to 11 applicants, including DoP, National Securities Depository Ltd and RIL, to set up payments banks.

 The payments bank license will enable the Department of Post (DoP) to offer banking services to the masses through its vast network of 1,54,000 post offices, of which 1,30,000 are in rural areas. As per RBI guidelines, payments banks would offer a limited range of products such as demand deposits and remittances. They will not be allowed to undertake lending activities and will initially be restricted to holding a maximum balance of   Rs.1 lakh per individual customer. They will be allowed to issue ATM or debit cards as also other prepaid payment instruments, but not credit cards.

SB aptitude test

SB Aptitude Test will be conducted on 13.09.2015(Sunday) from 1000 to 1200 hrs.  Revised pattern and
syllabus communicated in Dte. Lr.No.ll3-0712010-SB dtd 23-08-2011 will be applicable.  All Postal Assistants who have completed one year of service as on 30.06.2015 are eligible.  Exam will be with the aid of books. Last date for receipt of application to DO is 28.08.2015.
